Worksheets have been around since school began. It is the tried and true method of most teachers. While many schools are getting away from strictly using worksheets as a method for teaching, they are necessary at some point. In 2nd grade, kids can begin to do worksheets on their own with little direction. Providing worksheets in combination with other teaching methods will reinforce the topics that are being taught, as well as give teachers a way to gauge each child has understanding of the topic.
Toddlers need to have playmates around. Even though they may not play with another person at this age, they are always paying attention to what is going on around them and what their peers are doing. They are learning how to be independent. They are learning that they have power to do things or not do things. Allow them to experience this and the consequences of their actions. **Note: this helps to explain why SHARING is often difficult. If they are establishing their own sense of self it is hard for them to share with another. This is a gradual process and improves closer to three years of age or older. These are all tips that help me with the toddler age. Remembering that they may not be able to play with but play next to, that they may not be able to share at this time but can take guidance on social interaction are concepts that will make your toddler preschool planning successful.
Most of us have dreaded math at some point of time in our lives. Whether in school or college, math was always a subject to be hated. From the beginning of educational life, math should be taught with a lot of care. If you are a parent or a teacher, you should make every effort to see that your child or student does not develop a hatred for the subject. This can be done only if the child gets the basics right. Worksheets are a great way of testing a child with him having fun at the same time. Subtraction worksheets are necessary to be solved by a child regularly so that he understands the subject well.
